Not yet. We love the StoryBrand framework and we use it as part of our Pastura brand development process.
So while we use the StoryBrand framework in brand development, and many other area of Brand Shepherd as a whole, we have not yet pursued StoryBrand Guide certification.
When we set out to create this website experience, we talked with people we have worked with for varying lengths of time and then looked at our website traffic data.
One thing was clear: people come to Brand Shepherd with a need in mind, and it is either based around a particular product industry or a specific service needed.
So our work is organized by Product Industry and Services.
Yes. Whenever possible, we meet in-person. Since the brands we serve are spread out all across the USA, this is less frequent than a video or phone meeting, but meeting in-person is still something we love to do whenever possible.
It is also important to note that we are “meeting minimalists,” meaning we like to have meetings when they are truly needed. And meetings need to be short — no longer than 1 hour at their absolute longest.
We work best with brands that equip us with great information about their people and their products, then entrust us to design the best strategies and deliverables.
The worst results come from brands who hire us and tell us what to do and how to do it. In short, brands that are skimpy on trust.
We are Brand Shepherd, not Brand Waiter.
Some of the brands we serve have partnered with us for over 15 years of trust and collaboration. The reason for that is we are trusted to grow, guide, and protect their brands.
Yes. This is quite a common scenario because products require a lot of ongoing help to keep them in front of customers.
So since Brand Shepherd offers a full stack of brand support for products, it is a very attractive and profitable step to enter into a retainer agreement with us.
Sorta. We do not offer full refunds, meaning, we do not refund money for time that has already been invested in a project. Time spent is money spent.
However, because we invoice every 30 days, this keeps the gap between what you pay for and how much time we use to a bare minimum. If you have paid for time that hasn’t been used, and decide to go another direction, then, yes, we would refund that portion.
We crafted a plain-spoken page that covers this and much more, called How We Do Business »
Noteworthy: that scenario has happened exactly twice since 2006, so our system work really well for everyone.
Yes, when it is a good fit. Our team consists of creatives and experts in various niches who prefer to work as full-time contractors. We are fiercely loyal to our team. This means that most of our team has been with us for at least 5 years, often much longer.
When we meet or are introduced to someone new, if it is a good fit, we extend that same fierce loyalty to them.
