IA31 is the parent brand of our clients Academy 31 and Iron Academy, however, when our working relationship began with them, IA31 did not have its brand developed completely, so our first order of work was to codify what the IA31 brand is into a simple 1-sheet that staff and stakeholders could easily understand.
Leveraging our working relationship with Academy 31, we developed a simple, yet effective, brand infrastructure that helped them talk about both of its single-gender schools under one brand.
With IA31’s purpose being to represent both Academy 31 and Iron Academy, our immediate next task was to create a brand identity for IA31 that tied both schools together, yet had a more mature, leadership aesthetic to it, that would help communicate its role in the brand structure. Our efforts paid off very well with a powerful and effective brand identity.
With the brand fully developed, and a visual aesthetic established, we moved immediately into creating IA31’s website. This website’s purpose is twofold: Help parents get to the school they are interested in, and to invite stakeholders to invest in IA31’s work. We used the 1-page website design approach for this because each school’s website has much more information relevant to parents’ curiosity. When it comes to fundraising, the 1-page website approach works well, too, because it doesn’t come across as desperately pleading for donations.
This website accomplishes both goals with confident simplicity.
Expanding The IA31 Brand
IA31 is now equipped and positioned to be the parent brand to two powerhouses of Christian education in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. As the brand expands into things like apparel for teachers and staff, campus branding, and marketing, they have a brand to lean hard into.
