Brand Shepherd: Our Story
Brand Shepherd is a graphic design firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our work includes consumer packaging design (CPG), website design, mobile app design, logo design, design for printed marketing literature, and trade show booth design – just to name a few of our services. Our clients love working with us.
We see ourselves as creative shepherds: We herd the branded “stuff” that make up a company’s image: Logo & Brand Identities, Website, Packaging, Mobile App(s), Printed Literature, you name it .
The idea of shepherding a brand was inspired by our dog, Jake. He’s a border collie, and his breed loves order, herding sheep (and kids), and whatever they can try to get in order.
We had a picture in our head of Jake herding branded design assets instead of sheep: Jake was moving around, getting logos, web sites, packaging, print, etc. into cohesive, consistent order instead of being scattered everywhere.
Some branded assets were totally lost, some were underfed, and some were just old and no longer agile.
But soon enough Jake had all the assets back in order, and they were all well cared for, bleating in harmony, and all was well with the flock.
This is how we see our role as Brand Shepherd. We want to work with the branded assets that people interact with which make up your company’s image and very presence: Your logo/identity system, web, mobile, packaging, and printed materials. You can see why the herding analogy works really well for what we offer businesses.
